Parent Evaluation of Social Robots
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this evaluation of four different types of social robots. Socially interactive robots are being used with young children with disabilities to improve their interaction and communication skills. We are interested in your judgments of the characteristics of the robots.
You will view short video segments of each of the four social robots and then answer eight questions about each of the robots. The four robots are: Cosmobot, Keepon, Popchilla, and Kaspar. The survey questions ask you to rate the robots in terms of things such as being likeable, having a friendly appearance, attractiveness, positive expressions, and playfulness.
We also would like to know a little about you and your child with a disability or delay. Your responses are anonymous. At any time during the survey, you can choose not to continue.
If you have any questions or comments about your participation in this evaluation, please feel free to contact Dr. Carol Trivette at 828.432.0065. She will be happy to answer your questions or provide any other information you request.
Thank you again for your participation in the evaluation.
